How to convert Word to PDF
- Click the box above, or drag and drop your Word file (.docx) onto it.
- Check the preview, and choose a page size, margins, font style and text size if you want to change them.
- Click Save as PDF. Your browser’s print window opens.
- Choose Save as PDF as the destination, turn off Headers and footers, and save the file.
What this converter does and does not do
The tool converts the content of your document, then lets your browser create the PDF. The result has real text that you can select, copy and search, and it stays small. It works well for letters, reports, essays, CVs and other documents where the content matters more than the exact design.
- Kept: headings, paragraphs, bullet and numbered lists, tables, bold, italic and underline, links, and pictures that are part of the text.
- Simplified: fonts, colors, headers and footers, page numbers, text boxes, columns, shapes and the exact page breaks may differ from Word. Tables are shown with simple borders.
- Not supported: old .doc files (save them as .docx in Word first), password-protected files, and macros.
If you need a PDF that matches your Word layout exactly, use Word’s own Save As PDF or Export option, which gives the most faithful result.
Is it safe and private?
Yes. Your document is processed entirely in your web browser on your own device, so it is never uploaded to a server or stored anywhere. The page loads one small open-source library to read Word files, so it needs an internet connection the first time.
