How to use the random text generator
Choose the type of text, pick whether you want paragraphs, sentences or words, set the amount, and click Generate Text. The text also updates automatically when you change an option. Use Copy Text to copy the result to your clipboard.
What is random placeholder text used for?
- Design and layout: fill mockups, websites and documents with realistic-looking text before the real content is ready.
- Testing: check how a form, text box, database or app handles long or short text.
- Typography: compare fonts, sizes and line spacing with natural-looking paragraphs.
Lorem Ipsum or random English words?
Lorem Ipsum is the classic Latin-style filler text designers have used for decades, and it keeps attention on the layout rather than the meaning. Random English words are useful when you want filler that looks like real English, though the sentences are random and will not make sense.
