Split PDF

PDF
Separate pages and ranges with commas. Leave the end blank to go to the last page, for example 8-.

Your PDF is split in your browser and is never uploaded or stored.

How to split a PDF

  1. Click the box above, or drag and drop your PDF onto it.
  2. Choose how you want to split it and enter the pages if needed.
  3. Click Split PDF.
  4. Download each new file, or download them all together as a ZIP.

Ways to split your PDF

  • Extract chosen pages into one PDF: type pages like 1-3, 5, 8-10 and get a single new file with just those pages, in the order you typed them.
  • Split into separate files by page ranges: each range you type becomes its own file. For example, 1-3, 4-6, 7 creates three files.
  • Split every N pages: cut a long document into equal parts, such as one file for every 10 pages. The last file holds any remaining pages.
  • Split into single pages: create one file for every page.

Is it safe and private?

Yes. Your PDF is processed entirely in your web browser on your own device, so it is never uploaded to a server or stored anywhere. This makes the tool suitable for private documents. The page loads two small open-source libraries when it opens, so it needs an internet connection the first time.

Good to know

  • Password-protected PDFs cannot be split. Remove the password first.
  • Bookmarks and some interactive form features may not carry over to the new files.
  • Files up to 100 MB are supported, and up to 200 new files can be created at a time. Very large files can be slow on older phones.
  • Your original file is never changed.
